Village Yoga Studio Policies

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is very important to us. Any personal information you choose to give us will only be used to help us provide you with the highest quality services, products, and support. We will never share your personal or financial information with any other party.

Class Cards and Expiration Dates

Prices of classes and/or cards are subject to change. Please always check our website for our most current offers. Class Cards are non-refundable and non-transferable and are subject to an expiration date calculated from first use of the class pass. Expiration dates can be found here for each class card. We do not extend expiration dates or ‘freeze’ cards unless the circumstances are extreme. Class cards may not be extended to accommodate vacation.

Class schedules and instructors are also subject to change. We will notify all students of schedule changes by email, website and Facebook posting whenever possible as soon as possible. For holiday class schedules and inclement weather closings please check our website and/or Facebook page.

Special Conditions & Injuries

Anyone with medical condition or injury should consult a doctor prior to participating in yoga. During class we always encourage you to listen to your body. It is your responsibility to modify your practice as appropriate, and to inform the instructor if you are pregnant or have any injuries or special conditions prior to the start of class.

Cell Phones

Texting or answering calls during yoga is bad karma! Please silence your cell phones upon entering the studio.

Please be on time out of respect for your teacher, your fellow students and your own practice. We encourage you to arrive at least 10 minutes before a class begins. We also understand that sometimes yogis are delayed. Our studio door is locked at the start of each class for security. If the door is locked you may knock softly but if you are more than 5 minutes late we will kindly ask that you attend a different class.

Both late arrivals and early departures are disruptive to class. If you must leave before class concludes, please advise the instructor at the beginning of class. Please also place your mat and belongings near the exit, and take a moment in sivasana before leaving quietly.

New Students

All students are required to sign a release of liability prior to participating in class. Arrive a few minutes early to do so or download the Student Waiver to fill out prior to coming to the studio.

Young Students

Any student under 18 years of age must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the waiver. Unless the class is specifically designed for kids or teens, students under 12 years of age may attend classes only when a parent or guardian is in attendance for the same class. Minors may not wait in the studio or classroom while the parent/guardian takes a class.

All teachers have a minimum of a 200-hr Registered Yoga Teaching Certificate. All teachers are required to hold their own liability insurance.

Lost Items

The Studio will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. Doors are locked after practice begins, but you might refrain from bringing valuables into the studio

We thank you for honoring our studio policies!
