Relaxation is the antidote to stress. Restorative Yoga is active relaxation. It allows the body to reap the benefits of the yoga postures in the muscles, organs and bones without taxing your energy stores. During the restorative poses, the body is fully supported by the props, allowing areas to open, with no effort required. Props such as blankets, bolsters, chairs, straps and sand bags are used to support the body into the shapes of the poses. You will leave feeling renewed and refreshed in mind, body and spirit. Take some time out for yourself to nourish the spirit and heal chronic stress and quiet the mind.
